Visual excerpts from Animations #1–#3
For the release of Pepijn Lanen’s newest audiobook Gezeik, I created a series of short animations. The visual language grew from a playful mix of hand-painted backgrounds, green-screen recordings, crayon animations and frame-by-frame risograph drawings; bringing the chaotic, humorous world of Gezeik to life.
The animations were developed specifically for the audiobook launch and reflect the energetic, layered storytelling that characterises Pepijn’s work. Gezeik is available on all major streaming platforms.
