From the 2nd to the 10th of October 2023, we (Zut Mon Sac) participated in our first group residency. During this collective residency in the Frans Masereel Centrum (Kasterlee, Belgium) we focused on researching the myths and sages of the environment; their local stories about gnomes, witches, spirits etc. Besides the thematic research we  experimented with different printing techniques in the workshop.
During this residency I personally focused a lot on risoprinting by figuring out how to work with the machine, playing with different layers. I also experimented witg Intaglio etching prints and woodblock printing.
The Frans Masereel Centrum is a center for contemporary art, combining an artist-oriented exhibition and production schedule with an international residency programme for artists and curators, often with a specific focus on printed matter-at-large. Each year approximately 50 national and international artists, researchers, critics and academics are selected through an open call.
